Tazama Petroleum Products Limited (TPPL) is mandated to maintain and operate all Government of the Republic of Zambia Bulk Fuel Storage facilities — providing storage, distribution, and wholesale agency services to Suppliers and Oil Marketing Companies in Zambia and the Sub Region.

Our Background
TPPL was established in 2008 as a subsidiary of TAZAMA Pipelines Limited a state-owned enterprise, following the liquidation of the Ndola Fuel Terminal (NFT) operations previously managed by Total Outre Mer under INDENI Refinery Company Limited. Since inception, TPPL has expanded its mandate, with Government constructing and entrusting the company to operate six additional depots in Lusaka, Mpika, Solwezi, Mongu, Mansa, and Chipata.
Our Operations
Constructed in 1968, the Ndola Fuel Terminal continues to be Zambia’s main diesel distribution hub, handling more than 80% of the country’s fuel needs. In order to balance supply and demand, the other depots offer a variety of services to the market, including strategic, logistical, import/export, and trading roles. Additionally, the ERB’s Uniform Petroleum Pricing mechanism, which aims to reduce transportation costs is anchored on our infrastructure. TPPL oversees a total of seven depots, including its central terminal in Ndola, with a combined storage capacity of 177,080 cubic meters.
